Apenheart is the genre-bending project of multi-instrumentalist Eric Robinson, built on inventive songwriting: strong, original melodies, uniquely pleasing chord changes, and richly layered harmonies, delivered through real-time multitrack performance. His lyrics lean poetic and evocative, threading through the music's dreamlike, ecological, and emotional themes. The sound draws from rock, jazz, psychedelia, and pop in equal measure. Based in Eugene, Oregon, Apenheart crafts intricate, boundary-pushing compositions that unfold live, where each performance is a living, breathing soundscape.
With deep harmonic layers of piano, guitar, synths, strings, and percussion, Apenheart performances deliver the richness of a full band. Apenheart is currently developing a follow-up studio album with expanded instrumentation, deeper harmonic exploration, and a more piano-driven sound.
